Anna Maria was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. The daughter of Cretan immigrants, her love for Crete began years before she ever visited. She grew up hearing stories about her ancestral home. She still remembers the energy that flowed through her the first time she stepped foot on the island at 9 years old. She was home. Every summer in Crete since then she would decide that she belonged here but it would take another 20 years for her to make the move permanently. In that time she studied wine and became a certified sommelier always with a focus on Greek wines.
Vasilis was born and raised in Modesto, California. Also the son of Cretan immigrants, his love for Crete was as strong as anything. In California, Vasilis dabbled in wine making with friends. But the instinctual urge to make wine and olive oil from his grandfather's land would always have him longing for Crete.
