"Having enjoyed our rail trip to Hatton from Kandy we took the car to the Tea Trails. Windy roads through the tea plantations take you to your bungalow. We stayed at Caetlereagh which offers spectacular views over the reservoir. We were looked after by all the staff and our chef discussed meals in advance so we could choose what we wanted. The service is excellent and having complimentary drinks just adds icing to the experience. Something to note if you are staying here as part of a tour of SL, there is a complimentary laundry service should you need it. "

"Do try the trails from the bungalow. They are not too difficult but take you through the tea plantations and offer you super views over the reservoir. Thank you Castlereagh; certainly the highlight of our SL tour."

"Tea Trails is the perfect place to go if you want to walk, cycle, kayak, learn about tea, and just relax in a beautiful part of Sri Lanka. The delicious food (which is endless), warm service and cozy surroundings make this feel like home. This isn't the place for people after slick design and cutting edge technology - but I think 99% of people would love it here. Definitely make sure to do the tea factory tour and hike between the different bungalows."

"We were truly blessed to have stayed in the amazing location. Everything about the food, accommodation and service is not first class but world class. What separates this from any holiday I have ever had is that every person will get a unique experience because everything is tailored around you. All I can hope for is that heaven feels like here. To the small but amazing team of staff here, a HUGe and massive thank you from myslef and my beautiful new wife."

"One of the most unique properties we have ever visited. We stayed in the Tienstin bungalow under the thoroughly expert and thoughtful care of Sanath and team. The food was terrific, rooms exceptional and scenery jaw-dropping. The tea factory tour with Andrew was the best guided facility tour ever."

"Sri Lanka's tea country is so picturesque and a must do when visiting Sri Lanka. Tea Trails offers exceptional service and quality of food. We stayed at Castleriegh and have no regrets - your stay comes complete with butlers, chefs, and room boy and of course the best tea!Be sure to take walks around the property in the evenings before returning to the bungalow for a glass of wine with dinner! This is the ideal place to relax and unwind if you are also cramming in cultural visits and wildlife safaris on the rest of your tour of Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!"

"The Tea Trails was one of the most luxurious places I have been to. From the nicest and most helpful staff, to amazing walks, superb food and total relaxing. We stayed 3 nights in the Tiensing bungalow which was perfect. If I was to do it differently, I would stay in one bungalow for a couple of nights and another for the other night to get a varied experience. I wad worried it was expensive but with everything that we got, it was well worth every penny."
