Our family enjoyed the Amalfi Coast Culinary Holiday at Casa Laura's earlier this month. We are just back from Italy and practicing our new-learned skills. The entire week was a nice balance of classes and excursions throughout Amalfi Coast. Katherine was so kind to help with the booking process and Fabrizio chaperoned us to various non-scheduled trips (Pompeii, scheduling for Capri, Positano, etc). Also, the family knows everyone so we had extra special service and felt right at home. We saw Pompeii, Capri, Positano, Sorrento, and a wonderful day in a farm eating the freshest cheese and pizza ever! So much fun. I highly recommend this excursion for anyone wanting to visit the Amalfi area.

I went alone and out of season to Casa Laura; before I even booked I was impressed at how honest they were about how weather might impact on the experience. From the moment I arrived they were warm and welcoming, taking time to find out what I wanted. I arrived in time for lunch cooked by Laura. I expected delicious Italian food, it was why I was there, but it was more immersion into an Italian family with a friend unexpectedly joining us. Great food, but actually experiencing the culture and community too. Pompeii is a short distance by train so fabrizio and Kathryn stopped me off at the station to mooch around. I went for the cooking but it was so much more - the cheese farm, the lemon groves, talking to Laura about fish; understanding the quality of the ingredients was as important. This isn't a pretentious foodie experience; this is about food as love of life and sharing it with others as love of people. Laura, stepping back from a lesson to try out a German version to please her daughter in law, willing to learn a new way. I had a great time and plan to go again.
Three weeks on I finally got to try the recipes at home. I struggled shaping the gnocchi in the lesson to start with, it took time to get the actions right. But today it came straight back, an indication of how well she taught me, and the little dumplings were light and wrapped in sauce.

Our stay with Laura and Fabrizio could not have been any better. They made us feel welcome and like family. Laura, the sweetest woman, made a tiramisu to die for! It was a welcomed surprise to see in our fridge upon our arrival. Casa Laura is better than it was described. It is absolutely beautiful! It is set in a picture perfect village which was exactly what we needed after our stay in Rome. Quaint streets to stroll at night after a delicious meal, bakeries, markets to buy fresh fruits and veggies and shopping. We look forward to returning and spending more time in St Agata and highly recommend a stay at Casa Laura. Six stars!

Our stay with Laura and Fabrizio was the absolute highlight of our trip to Italy. Laura welcomed us home into her home (and kitchen) as if we were family. Her private cooking classes were phenomenal. Fabrizio introduced us to the very best of SantAgata and beyond, from impossible reservations at a world famous restaurant, to hikes to secret beaches, to the best boating excursions to Capri. Not only does he know everyone in town, but he welcomed us into his personal circle and introduced us to new friendships that made our trip all the more special. Our trip couldn't possibly have been better. We'll cherish the memories we made here for a lifetime.

What a pleaser it was to meet Laura, Fabrizio and Kate. They were truly a part of the success of our holiday! First their welcome was warm. We felt like in the family. We also enjoyed very much the cocking class as we are all into food! It was fantastic to be in a small town where everything is accessible with a short walk (food, small markets, fresh eggs, fresh cheese, bred, pastries, fish). Also the path to walk/hike down to Sorrento is really charming! The smile of Laura, the authenticity of Fabrizio and the warmth of Kate will be missed very much! And also, the accommodation is great, but that is obvious.

I can recommend this place without any reservation. Loved it there. Our hosts Laura & Fabrizio made us feel very welcomed at their place from the first minute on we arrived. There whole property is just beautiful and atmospheric and has some nice spots to sit & eat what youve made outside in the sun. The apartment is spacious and equipped with all you need. Laura is a master-chef and we had the most amazing cooking classes. Fabrizio took us out on excursions, and a boat trip to Capri one day, which was just amazing. We had a lot of fun with him :) You will not be disappointed staying here! Would go here again for sure.

Can't recommend Laura and Fabrizio's place more! The lovely journey began from our first communication, they were patient and thoughtful in answering all of my queries and tried to figure out the best solution to ensure we have a nice and smooth trip. Laura and her son Fabrizio are always available, they are very generous with their time and Laura is a very good teacher. We felt really welcomed there and we are happy to have chosen here as one of the destinations during our honeymoon. Visiting Italy turned out to be an unforgettable memory and this couldn't have been done without Laura and Fabrizio. Thank you!

We had such a great experience with Laura and Fabrizio. It was a vacation but also like staying with family. They were a wealth of information and incredibly helpful, whether it was the fantastic cooking classes, grocery and ingredient shopping, the beautiful excursions, or how to deal with the very friendly, local dogs! When I return to the area, I will definitely come to see them again.
