"I recently visited Casa Burani for a cooking course, but what I got was so very much more! Stefano is the perfect host: nothing is too much trouble and I can't thank him enough for showing me some of the sights of his beautiful region, his outstanding hospitality, oh and of course the cooking experience, which was perfect. Highly recommended!"

"I've been twice in the last month and my friends and I are organizing yet another weekend there. The characteristic house is literally nestled in the soft undulating hills of Emilia Romagna. From the bedroom windows there are wonderful views of vineyards and cultivated fields. Stefano, the owner, is extremely helpful and always around to give advice on where to eat out and what to visit in the area. The house is furnished in the 70s style so is full of Italian stuff from that great decade. The house is squeaky clean and comfortable, and Stefano makes great cakes for breakfast, like fig and ricotta tart or homemade marmalade tart, by the way cookery classes are also on the menu. So check this great place out if you want a break in beautiful Italy."

"I booked this trip alone as I had some time off and wanted some experience with Italian food to help inspire me for my job - I’m a food technologist. The local wine flowed freely and the delicious food was ever created and on offer to me I never went hungry. The surroundings were breathtaking rolling hills with a view of the city light up at night and the house was immaculate - the perfect destination for a five-day break I really had a chance to relax. Stefano is very passionate about natural food and using the finest ingredients (most home grown) which was a pleasure to be around. Stefano made every effort to accommodate my needs and make my trip as informative and enjoyable as possible. He also made it fun and welcoming; I enjoyed tours of the mountains nearby, meeting his friends and lovely family. I was completely spoiled by everyone I met by being taken out, taken an interest in and doted on! I was made to feel like part of the family and can’t wait to return again to share this experience with my loved ones."

"On our way from Milan to Bologna, we did a search for nearby places to stay on TripAdvisor. Casa Burani was only 2 kilometers away. We arrived without making a reservation. There was no answer when we knocked on the door and we were about to leave when Stefano arrived. He had been on holiday for a few days in Barcelona but was very welcoming despite us arriving unannounced. We stayed 2 night's and really enjoyed the secluded location. Stefano runs a cookery school which is attached to the house. He cooked dinner for us one night which was superb and we had continental breakfast both mornings in the charming dining room. The house is very comfortable and furnished with a mixture of antiques and collectibles. We enjoyed the garden to the rear of the property that faces south and has pleasant views over the small valley. Stefano is an excellent host and speaks good English."

"A place renovated by the owners on their own farmhouse with a large garden, spectacular views of the surrounding hills, very quiet, great breakfast, fantastic individual interiors. It is also suitable for children. Beautiful racing bike tours are possible as there are many small roads with little traffic."

"My wife stayed with host Stefano for one night during a business trip to the region. Although in an extremely quiet and beautiful location in the rolling hills it is not far from the nearest town. There are only 3 bedrooms, each one beautifully furnished with both antique items and retro pieces from the 1960s and 1970s. The breakfast room contains an ancient Italian petrol pump. The bathroom was immaculate and in an adjacent room. Homemade cake and jams made for a delightful breakfast. Wi-Fi is free and worked well with a good signal, cell phone reception was variable. Absolute value for money! Stefano is training a large white haired mountain dog, very friendly and inquisitive, dark clothing be aware! Thank you, Stefano, for your warm and kind hospitality."

"Nous avons soupé en couple avec le propriétaire dans un cadre rustique, chaud, agréable et accueillant. Il a préparé une soupe de pois chiches et une pizza de farine complète: simple et appétissant. Le paysage est paradisiaque, l'ambiance d'antan, les chambres sont grandes et cozy. À refaire"
