Apartment Artisti

Holiday apartment Artisti has a separate entrance from a private outdoor-staircase, leading to a private balcony. It has two rooms and a spacious bathroom. One room with a double-bed and an extra small bed, while the other room has bed-settee, high-quality sound system, and a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge and kitchen utensils. The bathroom is completed with bath-tub, wash-basin, bidet, and toilet. Windows overlooking the garden are placed to the front, while the swimming pool is in the back. The apartment also has a private garden with veranda, dining table, and sofa.

Casa Cavalieri

Holiday apartment Cavalieri is situated on the main floor and has French doors to a private garden with a wooden veranda and a view over the orchard and the valley of the Chianti. The apartment has two bedrooms: a double bedroom and a twin. It also features a sitting room with an antique terracotta tiled floor, a small kitchen, a bathroom with shower, wash-basin, bidet, and toilet.

Casa delle Rose

Holiday home Casa delle Rose is a 17th century farmhouse with a covered staircase outside, which is overgrown by roses. The house has been beautifully restored to create spacious, stylish rooms combining elements of rustic tradition with modern comforts. It has terracotta tiled floors and beamed ceilings. The house has a large living room with a working fireplace, four large bedrooms with a double-bed each. The holiday home has two bathrooms. One bathroom is equipped with bath-tub, wash-basin, bidet, and toilet, while the other bathroom features a bath-tub, wash-basin, and toilet. The kitchen is fully-equipped with fridge / freezer, dishwasher, and all the kitchen-utensils for preparing breakfast, lunch or dinner. In front of the house, there is a private garden with covered pergola, table, and chairs.

Casa Naviganti

Holiday home Naviganti is situated on the main floor in the former hayloft which recently has been transformed in a comfortable apartment. The spacious living room gives a wonderful view of the garden through the big stone arch and has French doors to a private garden with a wooden veranda. The apartment has one double bedroom, one twin, one bathroom with shower, wash-basin and toilet, a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge and kitchen-utensils, living-room with sofa, and high-quality sound system. The apartment also gives a wonderful view of the Sibillini Mountains.

Casa Sognatori

Holiday home Sognatori is a romantic little house with a wooden veranda directed towards the hill with a splendid panorama of the Chianti Valley and Sibillini Mountains. The space inside is divided into sections; one with a double bed, a bathroom with shower, wash-basin and toilet, and a kitchen-corner which is equipped with fridge and kitchen-utensils. There are also stairs leading to a small split-level. The holiday home has two doors; one leads to the swimming pool, and the other towards the valley, so that privacy is guaranteed.

Casa Viaggiatori

Holiday home Viaggiatori is situated on the main floor and has a big wooden veranda in front of it. There, you can enjoy the panorama over the fields and the mountains. At the back of the house, there is a small private garden with the door to the kitchen and dining table. The apartment has two double bedrooms, one at the main floor and one on the first floor. Additionally, it features a sitting room with a futon bed-settee, and high-quality sound system. There are two bathrooms; one with bath-tub, wash-basin, bidet and toilet, and the other with shower, wash-basin, bidet, and toilet.

Day 1 - Arrival

Arrive in the afternoon at the Caravanserraglio agriturismo, where you will be welcomed with an aperitif and introduction. At 20:00, your hosts will be holding the welcome dinner at the Caravanserraglio restaurant and they will offer an introduction to the course program. During each cooking lesson, you will, prepare a full menu with aperitif, antipasti, first and second course, vegetables, and dessert. After each lesson, the prepared menu is served to the participants in the restaurant.

Each member of the course receives at the beginning of the holiday a detailed program of the week with the description of the recipes. At the end of the cooking holiday, participants will get a CD with the complete description of the recipes and the pictures made during the cooking courses.

Tonight, the dinner menu will include:

Day 2 - Excursion and cooking course

Waking up in the peaceful atmosphere of the agriturismo, you can find milk, fresh bread, butter, homemade marmalade, coffee, and tea in the apartment's kitchen to make your own breakfast. Join an excursion to the local market at the historical center of San Ginesio at 10:00, then afternoon leisure. The cooking course at the Caravanserraglio restaurant will start at 17:00. You will have dinner afterwards.

Today, the cooking course menu will include:

  • Dolce di riso o farro cacao amaro spezie e pepe
  • Insalata di farro o grano
  • Parmigiana di melanzane classica, Varianti regionali, e parmigiane grigliate di melanzane e zucchine
  • Saltimbocca al ramerino

Day 3 - Excursion and cooking course

Take part in an excursion in the surroundings with visit to local cheesemaker (formaggio di fossa and other pecorino's) and wine producer of the red Vernaccia DOC wine at 10:00; then, enjoy afternoon at leisure. The cooking course at the Caravanserraglio restaurant starts at 17:00. Afterwards, you will enjoy dinner.

Day 5 - Excursion and cooking course

Enjoy a walking tour in the Gola di Fiastrone, followed by afternoon at leisure. You will join the cooking course which starts at 17:00, followed by dinner.

The Caravanserraglio Restaurant uses products that come from organic farms and all the products are chosen with the greatest care. The meat products come from the local area and are carefully selected. There are also different kinds of cheeses, vegetables, and the homemade pasta of the highest quality. Meanwhile, the wines that are served are mainly local. The selection is modest, but good. The restaurant serves dinner in only for guests. The staff members don't cook every day, but as agreed with the guests on the moment. They also cater for vegetarians.
