The food may be good in here but the service wasn't. I went to visit this place for a Neff cookery demonstration and was planning to have lunch here. During the demo, the owner/manager kept coming in with late attendees talking at the top of her voice even though the demo was going on. She left the doors open to the cafe repeatedly so we all kept closing it behind her only for her to return and leaving it open again. No respect was given to the lady talking to us all. It is hard enough to hear in there when the cafe is busy. On entering the cafe for a lunch, the manager/owner kept shouting at people to sit down as she wouldn't take our orders up at the till. But this wasnt happening which is why we were getting up to order. As she is shouting at us to sit down, her staff are taking the orders at the till?? We sat down, waited another ten minutes and walked out!

I hope hind the owner/manager just likes the sound of her voice a little too much!

Excellent Asian Street Food menu last night cooked by Lillian Hiw. Could not fault the three courses (plus the lovely lychee & prosecco cocktail!) in any way. As someone not particularly keen on Thai food the chicken Tom Yum curry was out of this world- spicy, tangy & not sweet- please send me the recipe! To finish we had salted coconut rice with mango- again out of this world! The restaurant was small & cosy with just the right amount of people & the service friendly & attentive. Well done all- we will be back.

We knew the cookery school in Cambridge but we were very pleased to know that they opened a cafe! What a lovely and charming place and the food is absolutely amazing! From cakes to focaccia, from breakfast to dinner, everything is sourced locally and organic. We have also had dinner there once and we loved the menu choices and the wine list :) there is always something new which comes out of the kitchen where the magic happens. Nice and friendly atmosphere which is a perfect combination and one of the nicest ingredient for delicious dishes. Enjoy!

We had brunch on Friday (sept 8) and then dinner on Saturday night! The food is outstanding - delicate, fresh, great flavours! Brunch - I had the fried eggs, with chilli fried greens and Taleggio - so different, and just the right amount of chilli, and of the rich cheese. Other half had avocado, feta, and roasted tomatoes - also excellent, and great coffee too! Cinnamon buns also to die for.....Saturday night's dinner began with a glass of pear Bellini - sugar frosted around the glass - like drinking nectar - amazing! Fresh focaccia was served and then a delicious artichoke salad, with a light, whipped/cream artichoke dip. Main course was perfectly cooked thin slices of beef skirt, served on greens and tiny pieces of cubed roasted potatoes. Usually after beef you can feel over full, but this was light and melt in the mouth. We drank a lovely Sangiovese wine. We finished the meal worth a slice of pumpkin pie and clotted cream ice cream. A well balanced, perfectly executed meal – lovely surroundings, and great service. We will be back.
