Breathe Sicily decided to use own individual knowledge and experiences to organize and promote yoga holidays in Sicily. This particular short journey is a very exciting holiday, enriched by the unique scenery that can be found in this corner of the world. The holiday is based around a program involving a daily yoga practice within the most interesting natural reserves of the province of Trapani and around cooking Sicily experiences.
Breathe Sicily offers two types of accommodation. You can choose between a bed-and-breakfast or hotel in the city center or a private villa with swimming pool. Both types of accommodation included breakfast, clean room, air-conditioning, TV, and free Wi-Fi.
Yoga Sicily journey will run over a weekend from June 1 to June 4, 2017. The first yoga session will open the weekend with a Mediterranean aperitif in a very exclusive garden.
On the second day, you will have an amazing experience: a boat cruise into the Stagnone Natural Reserve. In the afternoon, the “Cooking Sicily Experience” will awaken your senses
The day after, you will have another Hatha yoga session and visit one of the oldest fish and vegetables market of the Marsala City. You will also enjoy a historical winery tour for wine-tasting experience. You will practice a sunset yoga classes among the grapes.
On the last day, you will practice yoga by the sea in a fantastic location, followed by a Mediterranean breakfast.
You will enjoy a fantastic boat cruise into the Stagnone Natural Reserve. After that, you will go on an excursion to Mothia Island where you will practice yoga on a very exclusive place.
Included in the price is a visit to a winery and walk among the grapes. It will be a particular experience.
The retreat will take place in Marsala and its archaeological and environmental heritage is located in the heart of the legendary Marsala Meditteraneo. With its Phoenician origins and Greek, Roman, Arab, Norman, Swabian, Angevin, and Spanish influences, Marsala's character is rich in history and nature.
Overlooking the surrounding Egadi Islands, this town of wine and salt finds its main economic resources in the sea and tourism. Here the colors, flavors, and aromas of Sicily meet in a territory that, between the old town streets and suburbs of the hinterland, continues to cultivate typical Mediterranean hospitality.
Mediterranean style follows the cooking experience you can make with Breathe Sicily. The eating habits of the Mediterranean people are characterized by the consumption of fruit, legumes, vegetables, fish, and olive oil which is produced with excellence in this region.
This type of diet is ideal for preventing cancer and cardiovascular disease, thanks to the high phospholipid content of the fish, monounsaturated fatty acid of olive oil, fibre, and vitamins in fruit and vegetables.
Clinical trials have established that the most favorable diets that contribute to longevity and obesity prevention come from the traditional coastal regions of the Mediterranean.
Throughout your stay, you will be provided with seven meals in total.
Please book your flight to arrive at Vincenzo Florio Airport Trapani-Birgi (TPS). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Breathe Sicily will pick you up from the airport. The pick up time is before 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
