Set in a former cinema, Hotel Silken Coliseum features a unique facade and is located 200 meters from the Fine Arts Museum in Santander. It offers free Wi-Fi and a bar-café. The modern rooms at the Silken Coliseum come with air conditioning, satellite TV and a free safe. The private bathrooms feature a hairdryer. You can have drinks and tapas at the Bambalinas Café. A daily menu is also served.

Program

Day 1

You start your visits to eco garden El Tarruco. After this, a short walk takes you up to San Martín where Antonio and Coral explain the details of biodynamical winemaking. Eco appetizers are served with marvelous views and you wash down the northern Spain specialties with their Señorio del Pas white wine!

You enjoy the beautiful landscape on the way back for the afternoon cooking class and late lunch/early dinner. Evening optional tapas route in Santander.

Day 2

You will experience a beautiful market visit and a gastrowalk in Santander before another cooking experience.

Location

Santander is an elegant city which extends over a wide bay with views of the Cantabrian Sea. Its historic quarter includes a group of majestic buildings which are situated against an incredible natural backdrop of sea and mountains. Its marine and commercial tradition is linked to a century old history of tourism, which has its main attractions in the famous El Sardinero beach, the promenade and the La Magdalena peninsula. The cultural wealth of the Cantabrian capital is enriched with the passage of the Pilgrim's Road to Santiago de Compostela and the neighboring Altamira Caves, both of which have been declared World Heritage.
