With your own personal chef as your guide, visit and cook in the splendid mountainous region of the Apennines, on the border with Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, and Marche. Here, away from the typical tourist routes, you will discover a fascinating, cozy, and very romantic area, unveiling its treasures at every corner: the Sanctuary of La Verna, founded by St. Francis of Assisi, Borgo San Sepolcro, home of the painter Piero Della Francesca, Sant'Agata Feltria, Pennabilli, Monte Fumaiolo are just some of the dozens of welcoming towns and villages where art mixes with food, natural beauty, and tradition creating an intimate charm for those who visit.
This private culinary vacation includes 6-night accommodation in the 19th-century chef's mountain retreat located on Mount Fumaiolo. The house has three floors and is fully furnished with authentic ancient furniture. There's also a big garden bordered with the Tiber River.
You will be picked up either in Bologna or Florence with a brief market visit before heading out to the Apennine mountains. There you will check into the 19th-century mountain stone house and cook your dinner together with the chef.
Enjoy breakfast in the house. Then the chef will pick you up and take you on your day's journey. Will it be a cooking class? How about a picnic in the woods? Or perhaps you might like to visit the ancient villages in Tuscany and Montefeltro. You’ll decide what you want to do and where you want to go. In the afternoon you will return for your cooking class and dinner with the chef at his retreat.
After breakfast, you will check out, and if time allows you'll head to Ravenna where you will visit the Basilica of San Vitale and its Byzantine mosaics. You will then have lunch in an ancient osteria in the Ravenna city center and go back to Bologna. Or if Florence is your departure point, you'll head into the city for a brief walking tour before parting ways.

A passion for food runs through the veins of CIBO’s owner and chef, Stefano Corvucci and it is his infectious commitment to putting the food first – its texture, taste, aroma and seasonality – and not just the end result, that pervades his state-of-the-art cookery school. Stefano’s journey towards founding Bologna’s best-equipped cookery school facility, CIBO, in 2012, has been an unusual one. Stefano studied Law at the University of Bologna, but that was never his destiny. After graduation he started his chef career opening his first restaurant, then 3 more till his cooking school was born.
