You will be picked up either in Bologna and Florence with a brief market visit before heading out to the Apennine mountains. There you will check into your hotel and then be picked up for a private dinner at the chef's mountain retreat.
Day 2 to Day 6
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Then the chef will pick you up and take you on your day's journey. Will it be a cooking class? How about a picnic in the woods? Or perhaps you might like to visit the home of a Renaissance painter. You’ll decide what you want to do and where you want to go. In the evening you will return for your private dinner with the chef at his retreat.
After breakfast, you will check out and if time allows you'll head to Ravenna where you will visit the Basilica of San Vitale and its Byzantine mosaics. You will then have lunch in an ancient osteria in the Ravenna city center and go back to Bologna. A passion for food runs through the veins of CIBO’s owner and chef, Stefano Corvucci and it is his infectious commitment to putting the food first – its texture, taste, aroma and seasonality – and not just the end result, that pervades his state-of-the-art cookery school. Stefano’s journey towards founding Bologna’s best-equipped cookery school facility, CIBO, in 2012, has been an unusual one. Stefano studied Law at the University of Bologna, but that was never his destiny. After graduation he started his chef career opening his first restaurant, then 3 more till his cooking school was born.
