Accommodation

Check-in Time:
13:00

This private culinary vacation includes 6-night accommodation in the 19th-century chef's mountain retreat located on Mount Fumaiolo. The house has three floors and is fully furnished with authentic ancient furniture. There's also a big garden bordered with the Tiber River.

Program

Day 1

You will be picked up either in Bologna or Florence with a brief market visit before heading out to the Apennine mountains. There you will check into the 19th-century mountain stone house and cook your dinner together with the chef.

Day 2 to day 6

Enjoy breakfast in the house. Then the chef will pick you up and take you on your day's journey. Will it be a cooking class? How about a picnic in the woods? Or perhaps you might like to visit the ancient villages in Tuscany and Montefeltro. You’ll decide what you want to do and where you want to go. In the afternoon you will return for your cooking class and dinner with the chef at his retreat.

Day 7

After breakfast, you will check out, and if time allows you'll head to Ravenna where you will visit the Basilica of San Vitale and its Byzantine mosaics. You will then have lunch in an ancient osteria in the Ravenna city center and go back to Bologna. Or if Florence is your departure point, you'll head into the city for a brief walking tour before parting ways.
