Mayacamas Ranch has guest units and cottages situated in various buildings on the property. Each unit has its own temperature control system for your comfort, and the bedding is 100% organic.

The equinox is a time of balance, with equal hours of day and night, light and dark. It's a perfect time to let go of the past and of the winter season and set positive intentions for the new Fall season, through guided meditations and inner reflection, opening yourself up to new possibilities and creations.

The yoga classes will be a blend of Hatha and Vinyasa Flow, linking movements with the breath, moving your body through both Power and Restorative poses. Classes will be theme-based, creative, and balanced and will incorporate pranayama (breathing), strengthening, stretching, detoxing, energizing, and meditation. You will experience a safe and nurturing practice where the focus is on the connection of movement with the breath, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energized. All levels are welcome and encouraged.

The price of this retreat includes a led morning hike on nature trails that will take place on the Mayacamas Ranch hiking trails. These range from easy to intermediate and wind through chaparral, fragrant bay and madrone forests, and a natural spring.

    Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Yoga)

    Sally is a RYT 200-hour yoga teacher, certified massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, ChiRunning and ChiWalking instructor, and integrative nutrition health coach. She began healing and teaching through yoga, natural running and walking techniques, massage, energy healing, and health and wellness coaching. She aims to share with others what has helped her to heal her own body and discover a path of transformation and greater self-awareness.

Macayamas Ranch is set on a hilltop ridgeline above the town of Calistoga in Napa, California, and is surrounded by spectacular 360 degree views. Mayacamas Ranch provides awe inspiring, natural setting for a variety of group gatherings and workshops, making it an ideal place to renew, reflect, and connect. Mayacamas Ranch was once a gathering center for the Wappo native Americans, where they conducted ceremonies, rituals, and rites of passages. Their staff will arrange all the kindling and supplies for you.


Mayacamas Ranch's exclusive, secluded hidden lake features a picnic area and hiking trails. Fishing for bass in the lake is also permitted so long as you catch and release.


Mayacamas Ranch's expansive lawn, surrounded by breathtaking views, becomes the perfect setting for all types of ball games, including baseball, football, badminton, and volleyball. In addition, horseshoes, Frisbee throwing, and kite flying are favorite activities for many at the Ranch.

Organic garden and sun deck

Explore the Mayacamas organic garden, full of cutting flowers and many of the fruits and vegetables used to cook local foods. The garden is home to 50 raised beds for growing vegetables and it is well populated with ornamental perennial plants and fruit trees, appealing to all senses. You may also enjoy views of the garden from the sun deck off the lodge.

Swimming and soaking

Surrounded by 360 degree views of Mount Saint Helena and the Mayacamas mountains, take in some of the most breathtaking views in the wine region while lounging and swimming in the salt water pool. Swimming in a mild saline solution is much like taking a shower in soft water. In a salt water pool, the water feels smooth, your skin feels smooth, and many people feel more refreshed.

  • Take US 101 North to Highway 12 and exit towards Sonoma
  • Turn left at Farmers lane and then turn right at Highway 12 again towards Sonoma
  • Turn left on Calistoga road, then left again on Mountain Home Ranch road
  • Stay left when road comes to a Y intersection
  • Mayacamas Ranch is two miles down the road

Driving directions from Eureka

  • Take US 101 South to the Calistoga exit
  • Exit freeway and turn left at end of exit ramp
  • Cross over freeway and continue east toward Calistoga on Mark West Springs road
  • Remain on this road for 10 miles until it comes to an end
  • Turn left on Petrified Forest road for approximately two miles
  • Turn left on Mountain Home Ranch road. Stay left on curve
  • Mayacamas Ranch is two miles down the road

Driving directions from Sacramento

  • Take US 80 West to the Highway 12 Napa exit
  • Cross the valley, and turn right on Highway 29 for Napa and Calistoga
  • At Rutherford, Highway128 joins Highway 29, and both designations remain until the entrance to Calistoga
  • Remain on Highway 128 going past, not through, Calistoga, for one mile
  • Turn left on Petrified Forest road, toward Santa Rosa
  • At the top of the hill, turn right on Mountain Home Ranch road
  • Stay right when road comes to a Y intersection

The Mayacamaras Ranch was so beautiful and peaceful. Sally is a lovely person and a great yoga instructor who was able to lead many different levels.     "This was an amazing experience for me! The location was beautiful and the people working there were so nice. The food was amazing I wish they would give out their secret recipes. I'm a beginner yogi and Sally was so thorough and descriptive with her words I felt like a professional. I feel like the classes were a mix between yoga and meditation and I loved it. Sally made me feel comfortable and actually want to continue to take yoga classes after the weekend. The hike was beautiful! I'm glad we did the 2nd shorter one because I wasn't ready for it to be over. Wine tasting was delicious of course and all the ladies that attended were so friendly. I bought a bottle the second night. I would love to do a retreat with Sally again. Such a relaxing, cleansing weekend for me. I came back home a new person."

    "I attended the Recharge Retreat to celebrate my birthday and got so much more than I expected. I was hoping to relax and do lots of yoga, which I definitely did. But I also came home with a whole new set of skills to keep me balanced, happy, and stress-free once I returned home. The psychology workshop sessions were a surprising and very welcome aspect of the retreat. Kristen and Sally did such a great job to make all portions of the retreat comfortable, accessible, moving (physically and emotionally), and satisfying. I can't recommend this enough!"

    "I booked Sally for a massage last night through Thumbtack and, let me tell you, it was world changing. She took the time to talk to me, hear where I have aches/pains and just generally got to know me. The massage itself was both relaxing and intense. I had no idea how tight and sore I was until I got up from the table. Suddenly I felt 10lbs lighter and like my blood was moving faster."

    "I had the pleasure of meeting Sally a few months ago. We connected immediately. She is so warm and open. Very easy to talk with. I first used her services when I was in extreme pain over ITB issues. I did a personal instruction session with her. It was amazing. She video taped me, talked with me, shared her story and most of all, allowed me to share mine. The pain subsided and a few months later I was dealing with hip tightness. This was probably due to getting use to a new style of running and also being right side dominate (in every aspect, including sleeping on one side). I then reached out to Sally for a sports massage. It blew me away. It was exactly what I needed. I can not recommend her highly enough. I was comfortable, focused, mindful and guided through appropriate breathing. Sally has always been approachable, gives guided and useful feedback and has an amazing turn over time as far as getting back to clients. Thanks for everything Sally!"

I have had the pleasure of taking vinyasa classes and also Iron Yoga classes with Sally and am so impressed with her knowledge of yoga and ability to make me fall more in love with yoga in each of her classes! I most recently tried Iron Yoga with Sally and was seriously amazed by how fun and equally hard the class was. I absolutely loved it.     "I have been attending Sally's vinyasa yoga class since July 2013 and I could not recommend it more. I have been living with chronic pain and stress in most of my adult life, and have gone down a long road of physical therapy, meds, 1:1 stretching, and acupuncture.     "I really enjoyed my recent deep tissue sports massage from Sally! She was thoughtful in the time she spent on each part of my body and left my muscles feeling healthy and revived. I am a competitive long distance runner with a tight IT band that requires regular stretching and massage from time to time. I've had massage in the past after races and during injury but Sally is honestly the best massage therapist I've worked with. She uses the intense pressure that's necessary for an athlete to work through tightness. I could feel toxins released from my body during this massage. Although painful at times, Sally's massage was extremely productive and left me feeling great after! I plan on seeing her again during my training and after future races."

    "I got to know Sally through her chi running/walking class. I was glad to learn that she also offers deep tissue massage. I have lower back pain and calf tension that have been bothering me for well over a year. with Sally's help, I have become a lot better. I no longer experience the pain i had in my lower back, and the tension in my calves was significantly reduced. She listens carefully to my problems and addresses them in an effective way. I can tell from our first session that she is a pro. Her strokes are precise and powerful, exactly what my body needed. I highly recommend Sally."
