3 Days California Running, Pilates, Wine Tasting and Yoga Retreat

Body Flows offers you running, wine, and yoga retreat. The program is perfect for you whether you are a beginner runner, already running to stay fit or reduce stress, or you are racing competitively. Through this retreat you will learn effortless, injury free and natural running form. It is the ChiRunning. You will practice your natural running form during led trail runs. There will be different paces or distances provided during the retreat. You will also practice yoga and Pilates which are customized for runners, learn injury prevention, trigger point foam rolling, and self myofascial release. You will practice active isolated stretching techniques so you can manage your body in between your runs, increasing the speed of recovery time and preventing injuries. Receive helpful training and racing plan tips from one of the top female running coaches in the Bay Area. In the evenings, wind down with some local wine tasting, and meet other like-minded runners for an amazing and fun weekend in nature!

Accommodation

Westerbeke built in the 1930’s, has a lovely rural Ranch feel and nestles amid stately oaks, surrounded by rolling grass hills and vineyards in Sonoma's Valley of the Moon. There is an onsite outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna for soaking and relaxing after yoga or running. Delicious fresh, local, nutritious, sustainable and hand-made farm to table food will be served 3 times daily, by wonderful cooks of the highest caliber, artists in their own right.

Westerbeke Ranch gets inside of you. Walking the garden paths, warming your hands in front of the crackling “walk-in” stone fireplace, lounging on the lawn around the sapphire pool, or finishing up another scrumptious meal with some extraordinary chocolate mousse dessert, you might hear yourself think, “I could get used to this.” The rooms are colorful, and country style, and contain 2, 3 or 4 beds, with a private bathroom per room.

Sally Mitchell
Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Yoga)
Sally is an RYT 200-hour yoga teacher, certified massage therapist, Reiki practitioner, ChiRunning and ChiWalking instructor, and integrative nutrition health coach. She began healing and teaching through yoga, natural running and walking techniques, massage, energy healing, and health and wellness coaching. She aims to share with others what has helped her to heal her own body and discover a path of transformation and greater self-awareness. Sally's yoga classes consist of flowing sequences, linking movement with the breath, incorporating both power and restorative poses, pranayama, and meditation for balanced, mindful, and energizing practice.
Caitlin Smith
Caitlin is an elite road, trail and ultra runner, a running coach, pilates trainer, yoga instructor, doula, and artist. Having spent most of her life cultivating creativity, especially in the form of movement, growing up as a dancer, her curiosity about the human body has led her to follow this path, specializing in women's health, athletic rehab and running performance.
Deanna Micros
Deanna has been running for over 25 years. Her first of many marathons was the San Francisco Marathon in 1999. Deanna is also a NASM certified personal trainer and a USA track and field certified coach. Deanna also coaches high school cross country teams. Her passion for running has led her to create SF Scenic Running Tours, where she guides trail runs along the beautiful trails in Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Lands End, and Crissy Field.
