Guests will be staying in Palermos city center at a 4 star Mercure Hotel. There are double rooms with a single supplement available. Accommodation is bed and breakfast based with half board only.

Day 1 - Arrival

Group arrival at Palermo Airport (PMO).

You will be met by your driver for the private transfer directly to your hotel in the center of the city. You will check in and have dinner in the hotel.

Day 2 - Regaleali winery - Palermo

After breakfast, visit the open market, where you will find fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, and more. This will grant you a first sight, smell, and taste of the Sicilian culture.

Stroll through the town alleys, savor snacks from several street vendors, and stop in local bakeries.

During your tour, try different Sicilian specialties such as arancine (stuffed rice balls) and panelle (chickpea fritters).

You will then have a guided tour of the Norman Palace of Sicilys first kings, with its Phoenician foundations and palatine chapel, the Cathedral, and the Martorana.

Depart for your first visit to a winery, Regaleali. The Regaleali estate stretches over 500 hectares. It is one of the most ancient wine making families in Sicily. Since the 19th century through the early years it has been the first to introduce farming and cultivation innovations.

You will have a guided visit of the vineyards followed by wine tasting and a small aperitif.

You will return to the hotel and be free for dinner.

Day 3 - Spadafora winery - Palermo

After breakfast, you will depart for Spadafora Winery. This estate was founded by the noble Sicilian family Principi di Spadafora in 1230. Although the wine business started over a hundred years ago, the estate suffered a lot of damage during the earthquake in 1968, but Don Pietro put his heart and soul in the reconstruction and redevelopment of the vineyards.

You will have a guided tour of the vineyards followed by a wine tasting and a light lunch.

After lunch, you will return to Palermo and have guided tour of Palazzo Mirto, a Baroque residence of a noble family and San Lorenzo oratory.

You will return to the hotel and be free for dinner.

Day 4 - Sallier de la Tour winery - Monreale

After breakfast, you will depart for your last visit to a winery, Sallier de la Tour. It is in the charming area of Monreale, a noble 135-hectare estate that stretches from the mountains to the sea. Sallier de la tour produces wines that are distinguished by the elegance imparted by the cool, Sicilian hill-country.

You will have a guided tour of the grounds along with the tasting of 5 wines, including the well known Sallier de la Tour and local cheeses.

After lunch, you will visit Monreale.

The tour includes the biggest Norman Cathedral with 6000 square meters of golden mosaics depicting the Old and the New Testament and the adjoining monastery with its famous cloister.

You will return to the hotel and be free for dinner.

Day 5 - Cooking class and departure

After breakfast, you will have a meeting with Donna Patricia at 10:00 at Verga square.

You will be taken on a tour through the vibrant Capo market. This is where you fully understand the Sicilian culture.

You will select the fresh seasonal ingredients along with Donna Patricia and then proceed to the 18th century home where the cooking class is held.

Your lunch will be the delicious Sicilian food that you create in your class.

The afternoon will be free for shopping.

In the late afternoon, you will depart for the Palermo Airport (PMO).
