Join us for a weekend cooking residential classes at BellView Hill B&B in the BellView Hill commercial kitchen. Everyone will have ample opportunity to share in the preparation of the food. Classes are designed to teach basic cooking skills and their application, with some more advanced techniques for more experienced cooks. We will use the best fresh seasonal produce with an emphasis on what is available locally. The weekend will include a trip to a farmers' market at Coal Creek, Korumburra to buy local produce and conclude on Sunday morning after breakfast.

BellView Hill B&B is a new contemporary self-contained cottage and homestead. All of our facilities have been designed to have a minimal impact on our environment by using the latest environmental technology.

We have incorporated solar orientation, thermal mass, double-glazing and wide verandahs which will keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. Heat pumps provide ample hot water from the atmosphere, a state of art sewerage treatment plant and rain water tanks complete the facilities.

The homestead is oriented to capture the breathtaking views. The lounge and dining room with open fires and air conditioning are available for our guests exclusive use. We have 2 guest suites, Wattle and Blue gum. It has been designed to provide access to guests with restricted mobility.

Learn about the importance of mise en place, or planning, and good food handling practices, so your next family dinner or party with friends can be an enjoyable stress-free occasion. The classes will commence on Friday evening with a light dinner served on arrival. The hands-on classes are limited to a maximum of four participants.

Using seasonal produce ensures we are eating food at its best, full of colour and flavour. It gives us something to look forward to with the changing seasons.Each class will prepare a light lunch and a 3 course evening meal to enjoy together. All equipment is provided including pens and aprons. Some of the recipes and techniques we will use are: Pastry, short, choux and filo; Souffls; Breaking down poultry; Making pasta; Using gelatin; Cooking using a bain-marie.

Set on 70 acres in the rolling hills of South Gippsland, between Loch Village and Korumburra, BellView Hill is an easy 90 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. Our vision is to share our country property with people seeking a tranquil location, within easy commuting distance of Melbourne, where they can relax in peaceful surroundings with superb views over the Gippsland countryside. It is centrally located for visiting attractions in the area. Linger a little longer to explore the surrounding district from the rolling hills around Loch to the spectacular coastal scenery along the Bass coast to Wilsons Promontory.

Bike & Wine

The quiet roads of South Gippsland were host to the Great Victorian Bike Ride in 2007. The Great Southern Rail trail accessible from Leongatha is suitable for cyclists. Bikes may be hired in Leongatha and Meeniyan. Starting at the intersection of the South Gippsland & Bass Highways, the trail takes you to wineries from Loch to Foster. Trains from Loch station travel through the hills to Leongatha every Sunday, some public holidays and every Wednesday during Victorian school holidays.

Fly Fishery

Weroona Waters Trophy Fly Fishery is a private, secluded, trophy fly fishing facility a short walk from Bellview Hill. Here you can experience the thrill of catching a trophy trout or an Atlantic salmon. Tuition and equipment available. Bookings are essential. Please contact us for further information.


Korumburra Golf Course, an immaculately maintained 18 hole course is just 5 minutes from Bellview Hill.
