The yoga classes and the massages. They save the place!!!

Despite the staff being nice the place is old and dirty. The food isn’t varied at all and because there weren’t enough people eating we repeated food everyday. The garden is dirty. The beach close to the property is smelly as it has sewage going there

Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The massage was great and the yoga was brilliant. The staff organised a boat trip round the backwaters of Kerala and took us to some temples. The location is lovely right by the beach.

The accommodation was very basic and the outdoor bathroom was a bit daunting, we had many visitors in the night such as cockroaches. The beach is lovely but I wouldn’t recommend sitting out by the beach or swimming in the sea.

I liked the proximity to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Jessy the yoga teacher was very knowledgeable and we had lots of fun. Massages were excellent. The ayurvedic doctor was very good. Food was amazing.

I didn't like the fact that the resort had several large groups of guests that were there to party and were noisy until the early hours of the morning. Not really conducive to a yoga retreat.

The food was delicious and amazing. Simple, fresh, tasty. Thank you for that.

The Tuktuk trip into town was good.

The taxi to the airport was good.

Staff were all friendly and did try where they could.

The accommodation was below expectations, it was well below basic. Dirty. Such a shame, as my expectations were not met at all.

The yoga was casual, not structured, not to standard, I would not recommend to anyone wanting to do a proper yoga retreat.

Only one massage was included, but the website says daily, i had to pay extra for my second one.

There were NO meditation sessions which was a big part of why I went.

    Hotel directly on the beach

Food - no choice, very small portions and it came cold

Facilities - absolutely nothing to do between the yoga sessions. Some ayurvedic treatments offered by at an expensive extra cost as well as some excursions.

It was not a retreat - we were the only guests and they were not even expecting us!

I spent four wonderful nights at this resort in December 2016. The staff, especially the manager Joseph, were so helpful and kind and accommodating, we felt utterly welcomed and comfortable there. A few examples: after mentioning casually that I had never tasted fresh coconut milk, we found Jose (a sweet staff member there) at the door of our room offering freshly-opened coconuts with straws inserted. Ever-conscious of the security of guests, Joseph made sure that only the most competent, trustworthy drivers were hired to take us around town (via tuk-tuk) or to the airport (via auto)... we really noticed the difference between them and the ones we hired for ourselves. Joseph also arranged for a one-night backwater houseboat cruise, which was wonderful in itself, as well as arranging for me to get a piece of jewelry fixed at an Alleppey shop I would never have found on my own.

Before I get to the great food and beautiful location, I want to be sure to say how much we loved Master Anil, our yoga instructor. Master Anil (Anilkumar V.M.,) took about five minutes, literally five minutes, of watching me and my daughter complete a few simple stretches to pinpoint our individual physical trouble spots (tightness and pulled muscles) and then designed our private sessions to address them. He is a generous, kind spirit and the best yoga instructor, by MILES, than any of the many others that my daughter and I have ever studied with. His gentle routines (one each morning and each afternoon) resulted in both of us feeling looser, stronger, and calmer than we had in years. I am seriously trying to figure out how to return for a solid month so that he can work his magic over a longer period.

The food is unpretentious and delicious. We enjoyed all the fresh fruit on offer, loved the simple but perfect omelettes, and the home-baked breads that were served alongside the fragrant main dishes. We were in India two weeks to attend a friend's wedding, staying at a 5-star hotel, and although some of it was fancier and richer, none of the food we ate in Delhi was as good as what we ate at Beach Paradise Ayurveda Resort.

The room we had was basic, but clean and well-maintained, and the air-conditioning unit worked well. The resort is situated directly on the beach at a place where fishermen go to sea every day, and there are locals in the area mending their nets, etc. Be cautious where you choose to swim, however, as not all the neighborhood enjoys the benefits of indoor plumbing and there are a few little piles of evidence here and there, if you walk north of the resort. If you go south toward Alleppey Beach this is less of an issue.

I would give this place 5 stars if beach bathing had been perfect, but it is a wonderful place that I recommend highly and is a very very good value for the money. If you are serious about yoga, absolutely be sure that Master Anil is available at the time of your visit - you will be grateful for every moment of his time and attention.

It is a genuine Ayurveda beach resort. Most of the customers select this property for Ayurveda treatment. We also select one white bread program and it was amazing. The Ayurvedic food was also nice and organic. The beach is safe, the room is nice, and the staffs are friendly, especially Joseph.

Thanks, Mr. George and his team. I and my family enjoyed our stay well. Surely will suggest my friends to explore and enjoy there. The food, rooms, Ayurveda, and everything was excellent.

It's an amazing resort. We stay at this resort on August 8 and the room was very nice and comfortable. We can get homely food here. The food was delicious and the beach is also safe and clean.
