Sleep among the great wines, breathing atmospheres full of centuries of history, get lost in the wide spaces of the frescoed halls, corridors, and the cloister. Walking in the garden Renaissance or indulge aboard the pool, listen to the silence that surrounds the monumental abbey complex.

This is an intensive residential course where students are introduced to some of the most authentic traditional Tuscan dishes. The course develops over two days of morning and afternoon cooking classes. In each class, students, through a hands-on teaching method, are taught how to prepare a full menu including bread, appetizers, first and second courses, side dishes, and desserts.

The classes are held in the Coltibuonos family kitchen, where you can enjoy enticing aromas and flavors which characterize traditional Tuscan cooking. Special attention is also given to wine appreciation and to how to best combine wine and food.

The chef, with a naturally quiet style, simple approach, friendly and practical, ensures that students learn the recipes and authentic Italian menu, suitable for any type of occasion. On request and for pre-formed groups of at least 6 people, they can organize cooking classes in Italian.

The blessed kitchen Coltibuono

Classes are taught by the Florentine chef Benedetta Vitali, founder of the restaurant Cibrèo with Fabio Picchi in 1979 and Zibibbo in 1999. The author of many cookbooks, in Italy and the United States, Benedetta has always ben busy feeding environmentally and health. For some time it holds seminars on food education and cooking classes.

The Tuscan cuisine is universally recognized for its healthiness and lightness, the simplicity of the dishes that brings out the best raw materials. The vegetarian recipes will take center stage in this menu. The garden, great wealth of Tuscan cuisine, will be the master. Sano but also good.
