"Our cabin was beautiful and we were very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness. The entire ship (Vista) was just beautiful. There was such a friendly atmosphere from both the staff and guests. Our cruise director, Robert, was very helpful and had a great sense of humor. We enjoyed him very much. The shore excursions were excellent. We had a very good guide on each one and all were very knowledgeable and easy to understand. A great ship, a great time, and I will certainly be recommending Avalon."

"I just wanted to touch base with you upon our return from our trip. The best way to sum it up is to say "wow" I can't begin to put into words what a great experience it was for us personally as well as for our group. I had numerous individuals from our group say it was the best trip that they had ever been on. Thanks for all of your help in answering questions and helping to coordinate our reception and cake. We ended up doing the reception on Thursday in the smaller back lounge and it worked out great. All 42 of our group attended and had a very enjoyable time. If I ever have the opportunity, I would not hesitate to recommend or even better yet take another river cruise with Avalon."

"Making up nearly 80% of cabins on the line's Panorama class ships, the Panorama Suites are unusually configured so that beds face the wall-to-wall windows, offering cruisers a panoramic view even when they are lying in bed. Due to the narrowness of river ships, most river ship cabins have beds that are aligned sideways to the windows. In short, Avalon's Panorama Suites are all about engaging with the passing scenery of the river. They just do it without the crutch of an official balcony and the sacrifice of space that it would require. The result is a cabin that feels more spacious and inviting than what one finds on the ships of many other lines."

"To celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, my husband and I were looking for something really special. After viewing a DVD on the Avalon river cruises I knew that this would be special and so it was, perhaps even more than we hoped it would be. The first day we met two other couples who shared the cruise with us. There is no doubt that making great friends aboard ship only adds and makes the trip even more special. We shared meals and evenings, and time when off the ship. The ship itself was really nice, and the staff was friendly and always had a smile. The best part was that the ship docked right in the city, so when you got off the ship it was never a far walk to get into town to explore on your own. My husband and I have been on seven cruises and stopped at lovely ports, but after having experienced a river cruise, I know that this is the only kind of cruise I want to go on. It was a wonderful experience with wonderful people."

"I have never experienced a more well-trained and professional staff. By our second day, several of them knew our names and that I have a shell seafood allergy so they could alert me to any foods that might have seafood in them. It was truly impressive."

"Several days ago, we booked our third Avalon cruise. What we have learned to expect are great, clean ships with all the modern comforts. Avalon provides great food and wine from the area in which you are traveling. The crew is young, welcoming, well-trained, and quickly become your friends. Would we recommend Avalon? Absolutely!"

"You are always seeing land and you are in port much of the time, so you can explore. There is also value with the excursions included and wine with dinner. The small vessel environment helps as a major selling point. With so few people onboard, you make friends quickly."
