During the tour, you will stay two nights in the three-star Macedonian Village complex in Skopje, one night in the three-star hotel of the Popova Kula Winery, and one night in the five-star Aurora Resort & Spa.

Macedonian Village

Macedonian Village is a complex of hotel accommodation and restaurants, built in the traditional spirit of the Macedonian architecture from the 19th and 20th centuries. At area of ​​12,000 meters square, the complex is composed of sixteen authentic houses with a total accommodation capacity of 100 guests. Located in the beautiful nature of Mount Vodno, which is rich with beautiful forest and clean mountain air, the complex is known for its unique charm and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy traditional ambiance, delicious food, and numerous activities.

Popova Kula Hotel

The Popova Kula Hotel offers unique experience to its guests with its distinct 33 different rooms and the restaurant has a seating capacity of up to 60 people and the summer terrace has capacity of up to 80 people with the most fascinating view of the surrounding.

Day 1: Skopje

Upon arrival in Skopje, you will greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival and if time permitting, you will head to the top of the mountain Vodno with a cable car to experience the bird's eye view of the city. If that won't be possible, you will check in the complex Macedonian Village (built in the traditional spirit of the Macedonian architecture from the 19th and 20th centuries and composed of sixteen authentic houses). There, you will experience traditional Macedonian dinner and wine tasting.

Day 2: Skopje-Stobi-Tikves-Popova Kula

After breakfast in the hotel, your guide will take you on a tour of Skopje, starting with the nearby Byzantine church of St. Pantailemon. Then, you will explore the Old Town and Skopje’s landmarks: Fortress Kale, Old Bazaar and the Stone Bridge, and crossing the river Vardar to Macedonia Square and Mother Teresa Memorial.

Then, you will head to Stobi Winery, where you will enjoy the view of the vineyards, as we well as taste the winery's most popular and awarded wines during the lunch.

The next stop is Tikves Winery, which is the largest winery in Southeast Europe and is existing from 1885. There, you will have a brief tour of the vineyards and taste some of their fine premium wines, from the long list of awarded wines on the world stage. The last stop will be Popova Kula Winery, where you will check in their hotel. In the evening, you will have dinner and taste the one-of-a-kind in the world wine from the Stanushina grape.

Day 3: Popova Kula-Queen Mary-Strumica-Berovo

After breakfast in the hotel, you will depart to visit nearby Royal Winery-Queen Maria, which was built by the King Aleksandar Karadjordjevic. The journey continues to South-Eastern Macedonia, through Valandovo to explore the still existing medieval monasteries Veljusa and Vodocha.

There, you can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and admire the monastery’s preserved medieval frescoes. After the lunch in a restaurant in Strumica, you will head to the nearby Smolare, to visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Macedonia. In the evening, you will arrive in the unique and prestige Aurora Resort & Spa. There, you will relax, unwind, and continue with the wine and dine experience, during the dinner in the restaurant.

Day 4: Berovo-Kratovo-Kumanovo-Skopje

After breakfast, you will drive to sheepfold Klepalo, where you will experience part of the production of white cheese and taste traditional Macedonian spirit-Rakija. Then you will head to Kratovo enjoying the Stone Town and learn the mythic story of its creation. The next stop will be at the restaurant Ethno Selo where you will have lunch and wine tasting. After resting for couple of hours, you will head back to Skopje and check in the hotel.

Day 5: Skopje

After breakfast in the hotel, you will have free time till transfer to the airport for your departure.

This food holiday will take place in Macedonia. You will be visiting Skopje, Stobi, Tikves, Demir Kapija, Strumica, Berovo, Kratovo, and Kumanovo during this holiday .


During the tour, you will be served daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All meals are included, Aurora Tours has organized lunch to be served in the wineries/restaurant. You will taste traditional Macedonian food, which is a mixture of Mediterranean and Slavic cuisine. There will be wine tasting and meals in Macedonian Village, Stobi Winery, Popova Kula Winery, Aurora Spa & Resort, and Ethno Village. This vacation also includes wine tasting in Tikves Winery and Royal Winery-Queen Maria.

Please book your flight to arrive at International Airport Skopje (SKP). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Aurora Tours will pick you up from the airport. There are numerous budget airlines that fly to Skopje on weekly basis. If you prefer, Aurora Tours would be able to organize the flight for additional cost.
