They have created an interactive experience that includes all of the favorite things that you enjoy about them. During your stay, you will enjoy a French hands-on cooking class conducted by Executive Chef Philippe Naud, instruction on how to tend to a Potager garden with a Horticulture Expert, and take a class to make Chevre Cheese with a Cheese Maker Extraordinaire. This studio suite is a part of Auberge De Seattle. Each exquisitely appointed guest suite includes a private entrance. The studio suite, as well as all the other units, have 12-foot ceilings, painted in two tones, radiant heated tile floor, individual thermostat control, free Wi-Fi Internet, alarm clock AM / FM radio with tape deck, 21 inch Sony TV, very large closet (comes with a single bed stored in it) and a workstation desk. In the closet are plush terry bathrobes and a cotton summer robe. This unit has a queen size bed, goose-down feather duvet and European sized pillow shams.
It also has an (under-counter) refrigerator, entertainment bar sink with running water, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, and cutlery. For your enjoyment are shelves of hardcover books and some of the favorite paperback books. Above the shelves is a collection of high quality stuffed Teddy Bears used as decoration. The bathroom has a four-person jetted tub / shower for you to relax in and enjoy. You will find toothbrushes (if you forgot yours), large containers of shampoo, conditioner and bubble bath, and fun rubber ducks along with other items to make you feel welcome and at home. The Studio suite is in the southwest wing of the main building.
The Studio Suite as well as the Chef Quarters Cottage and Honeymoon Suite is part of the accommodations offered by Auberge de Seattle; French Country Inn.
Check-in on arrival night is in between 16:00 and 17:30. French hands-on cooking class starts from 17:30-21:00; bring your own wine to enjoy as, of yet Auberge De Seattle still does not have a liquor license, nor a winery license that they would so like to get.
Day two starts with your petit dejeuner francais being delivered to your room at 09:00. At 10:00, you meet your teacher / guide at the greenhouse after breakfast. There, you will be instructed on how to tend to a Potager garden. The teacher / guide will teach you how to start your own Potager garden at home. Plan on getting your hands dirty as you play with Auberge De Seattle: sowing plants, pricking out plants, hardening off the starts, planting in the potager garden. and harvesting the vegetables, fruits, and herbs. You will be very busy for two or three hours getting a hands-on experience.
After working in the Potage garden, you will be hungry. Picnic lunch will be provided for you to enjoy on property either on your private patio or someplace else that you choose on the property. The grounds are lovely and welcome you to share in their beauty. Your afternoon and evening will be free. You will be given some free wine tasting coupons from the favorite wineries that Auberge De Seattle recommends you to visit among the 125 wineries they have in Woodinville Wine Country.
Day three starts with a two-course gourmet breakfast of Belgian waffle (the recipe was made famous from the Seattle 1962 World Fair) with fresh strawberries and cream and second course of bacon, eggs, and potatoes. At 13:00, you head out to Hawthorne Farm for a three-hour class to make Chevre Cheese with Alexia. You will go home with a crottin of cheese. You head back to Auberge de Seattle French Country Inn and at 17:00 bringing your Chevre crottin to the main house. Share it with Auberge De Seattle, all the while enjoying a glass of Vin Mousseux on you as a closing farewell to your adventure. It will be soon time to say aux revoir mes amis!
Day four, your petit dejeuner (breakfast) will be delivered to your suite at 09:00. Check out is at 11:00. Voila, mes amis, until next time et a bientot!
Auberge De Seattle Member is just ten minutes away from the Microsoft Redmond Campus, and 15 minutes away from Molbak Garden and Redhook Brewer in Woodinville, Washington. The calming Tolt Pipeline trail is less than two miles away.
You will be served breakfast daily in your suite. Also the package comes with a Classical Cuisine DINNER Cooking Class, a picnic lunch to enjoy on the property, and a Vin Mousseux farewell reception on Sunday night.
