Very clean, nice place. Should be in good shape or plan on taking a taxi to town which doesn't cost very much. Has a kitchen and several bedrooms with a small pool. Has everything you could ever need.

We just returned from an 8 day stay with Patricia in her astoundingly wonderful B&B. First of all Patricia, Patrick and Inez and the staff are exactly the kind of friendly warm generous people you would love to stay with. It is impossible to say enough about their care, generosity and genuine warmth. For fear of creating an endless rambling discourse, know that we will recommend Arcos del Atascadero B&B to absolutely everyone with extreme enthusiasm. We are very grateful to a friend of ours who has stayed wih Patricia on three separate occasions and recommended us to stay here. It may be our first time, it won't be our last. Thank you Roberto, Patricia, Inez, and Patrick, for making our vacation truly astonishing and memorable. The Best.

I participated in the Mexican Cooking Vacation that Patricia holds at her delightful bed and breakfast several times a year. If you want a fun time, come cook with her and her daughter-chef, Monica, and their lovely staff of kitchen assistants. Set on a hill overlooking the charming town of San Miguel de Allende, the B & B has roof terraces to view the town and countryside. Surrounded by gardens full of trees, flowers, and herbs, Patricia is incredibly knowledgeable about the herbs and plants and how to use them in cooking, teas, and for various ailments. We had huge and delicious breakfasts each morning, took many many walks around town to shop, eat, have a drink, and to enjoy the unique architecture. The cooking classes were handled very professionally, using Patricia's own cookbook. We had late lunches each day, enjoying the food that we had cooked together. It was so much fun to do this with a group of girlfriends! My room was very pretty, looking out on the garden, with a private bath. I can't wait to go back, and perhaps take my husband next time. Highly recommended!

I was one of four friends who stayed at Arcos de Atascadero for the Mexican Cooking Vacation that is offered as an option several times a year. The words I would use to describe our stay here and the cooking lessons and, oh yes, the meals would be fabulous, wonderful, fun and any other superlative one could think of. Our hostess, Patricia Merrell and our host, Patrick, were delightful. San Miguel has much to offer. Lively restaurants, beautiful plazas, stunning vistas, fun shopping--I could go on and on. If you love Mexico, or if you've never been, you should experience this place. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.
