Aperanti Agrotourism is a bed and accommodation in Cyprus, promoting sustainable tourism, organic agriculture, and experiential holidays.
Maroulla grew up in the village of Pera Oreinis. Her parents had their own farm with goats and sheep and as a child, she grew up making traditional halloumi and anari cheese with her family for a living. She also learned to bake home-made bread and prepare pastries and traditional Cypriot dishes cooked with local ingredients. At Aperanti, she is leading the cooking classes, the halloumi cheese making, and the bread making workshop, as well as preparing home-made pastries for breakfast and delicious dishes for dinner.
Sara is the owner and manager of Aperanti Agrotourism. She is Italian and has been living in Cyprus since 2010. During your stay, she will be your host, guide, and cook. Sara prepares delicious jams, homemade liqueurs, citrus quash, all using biological fruits grown in their fields. She is passionate about creative cuisine and she will put her Italian touch in the dishes served at Aperanti. She is a biologist and will provide you with scientific insights behind cheese making and will teach you about the local flora and fauna during the excursion.

"A taste of the real Cyprus"
We spent 5 days at Aperanti for a cookery and food experience. Sara and Tassos couldn’t have done any more to make our stay better. The cookery lessons were great fun, we loved making halloumi. We enjoyed the lessons, plenty of hands on experience and we learnt such a lot. The food we had during our stay was excellent, all local products and beautifully presented. Our room was very comfortable, lovely clean and comfortable beds and nicely furnished in traditional style. Sara and Tassos spent time showing us the local area and adding to our experience by guiding us through the local flora and fauna. They are very knowledgeable and rightly proud of the area. They also arranged two restaurant visits, one to a local Cypriot buffet and the last night to a gastronomic tasting menu which was exceptional. Both were included in the package and showcased Cypriot food at its best and really complemented the cookery experiences. If you are looking for a stay that introduces you to the real side of Cyprus, with excellent food and time to learn how to cook it don’t hesitate to stay at Aperanti.
