We can't say enough good things about Ann's Point Inn. From the big picture to the smallest details, Alan and Jeannette thought of everything. We not only felt warmly welcomed and luxuriously provided for, we felt pampered and appreciated as friends, not just paying guests. The inn and its location were gorgeous! The breakfasts, divine. And the cooking school added another fabulous dimension. We loved James and Chiaolin! The cooking lessons were fun and educational, with delicious results! Thanks for creating a wonderful experience and fond memory!""We enjoyed our stay of three nights very much. What a wonderful spot Ann's Point is! Our room was very spacious, well designed and equipped, very clean and the bed most comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Alan and Jeanette are wonderful hosts. Hottub and sauna - what a treat. This is definitely a high end boutique B&B experience well worth its money. The place to go for nature lovers and all keen on the Quietside.

Ann's Point Inn is beautiful and appointed perfectly under the direction of Alan and Jeanette. The food retreat was fantastic thanks to Chef James and Tom. The amount of effort to make this a memorable experience was evident every moment of every day. Thank you for a perfect vacation in a perfect location.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have participated, and recommend the experience without reservation. Having enjoyed this marvelous inn at a prior visit, we expected the food and company to be wonderful. Happily, despite our own far from professional contributions, our expectations were exceeded. In a beautifully appointed newly renovated kitchen (with nearly every conceivable useful gadget), Chef James guided us with patience, tact and humor in the preparation of the numerous dishes listed on the web site. Tom, his equally patient and unflappable assistant chef was a master at keeping track of everything that was going on at once.Elizabeth contributed greatly with her sommeliers' expertise and warm company. It couldn't have been more enjoyable. We gained some valuable cooking "pearls of wisdom," delicious recipes and great memories of several days filled with the interesting, entertaining discussions. If you have any interest in cooking, like great food, great drinks, and great company in a beautiful setting from which to see some awesome wildlife in action, don't hesitate to make a reservation to attend the next retreat. We hope it becomes a long and successful tradition at Ann's Point.

This is simply one of the finest B&Bs you will ever find. Close attention is paid to every detail. The rooms are spacious, tastefully appointed, and provide exceptional amenities.Breakfast is impeccable - fresh ingredients, indulgent without being too heavy, and served with flawless grace and attention to detail. Alan and Jeanette are warm, gracious, and extremely helpful hosts. The location is beautiful. The Inn occupies the tip of a head extending into Bass Harbor, providing a secluded setting and contributing to an ambiance that is both rustic and sophisticated. My wife and I missed the Inn the second our car left the driveway. I can think of no higher praise than to say that we shall seek no other accommodations on Mount Desert Island for all of our return visits. My wife and I have never had a finer B&B experience.

My spouse and I recently spent our honeymoon at Ann's Point Inn. It was perfect! The attention to detail was incredible and the service by the hosts was impeccable. When we arrived there were flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and cookies for our pleasure. The room was spacious with a fireplace, a shower for 2, and very stylish comfortable furniture. The views were incredible - the food was top notch - the recommendations for dinner and activities were spot on.The morning breakfast included a 3 course variety of homemade items that were delicious and the presentation was five star. There is an indoor pool, sauna and hot tub that were very well maintained and very inviting. We definitely recommend a stay at Ann's Point Inn and look forward to when we can return.

We hesitate to say how perfect Ann's Point is, lest we be unable to book a room there again next year. And yet, this inn and the innkeepers who are the perfect hosts, deserve all the accolades they receive. First the setting: gorgeous and quiet, water views from every window, a blue heron here, a bunny rabbit there, hummingbirds at the feeder, mist over water. A serene place to be, in good weather or even in fog and rain. The accommodations: tastefully furnished house and guest rooms with a fireplace, lovely king-sized sleigh bed, chairs facing the water, both inside and outside, homemade cookies left in our room in the evening, a huge library of DVD's, pool, sauna, hot tub: every amenity one could want, all offered graciously by the hosts. Fresh flowers from the garden are in beautiful vases throughout the house, in guest rooms and bathrooms. The innkeepers/hosts: Alan and Jeanette are the perfect hosts: friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. Alan's wine and cheese at 5:30pm will introduce you to delightful new surprises: locally produced mead (much lighter than you might think from your Beowulf or Shakespeare texts) beer, and wine produced locally, and interesting cheeses from Italy, France, Maine, and beyond.Jeanettes's breakfasts are incredible: fresh fruit, fresh-baked scones and sweet breads, savory entrees with herbs from their garden. Their thoughtful hospitality has set the bar high and is an exemplary model for other prospective B&B hosts. Such a marvelous place to be, away from the crowds of Bar Harbor, but within easy driving distance of Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Somesville, and Acadia: we can't wait to return.

We stayed at Ann's Point Inn for 4 nights at the end of June. We loved everything about the Inn. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated with a huge two person jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The view from our room of the Sound was gorgeous.Alan and Jeanette could not have been better hosts. We loved the nightly wine and cheese and the breakfasts were amazing. I cannot say enough about Jeanette's cooking. Every day a new and delicious creation was artfully served. The treats we found in our room at the end of the night were absolutely delicious. We felt so at home from the wonderful snacks available all day to the huge collection of movies available to all the guests. I would not hesitate to recommend this Inn to anyone looking to stay in the Bar/Bass Harbor area. Absolutely perfect!
