We are happy to offer you a genuine, simple, and relaxing stay at the doors of one of the most acclaimed Vietnamese UNESCO World Heritage wonders. Founded in 2003, Hoi An Ancient House Resort & Spa is a local family-run resort that offers a genuine replica of Hoi Ans Ancient Town architectural style. It has its clay-tiled roof houses, small streets, and water ponds, and provides an utmost relaxing atmosphere.
It also features a 6,600 square meter garden that surrounds an outdoor swimming pool. It takes its name from the original 200-year old family home, that is recognized as a provincial-level relic and is still inhabited nowadays. This house has been a family home for over 5 generations and the present owners are now serving travelers the traditional Vietnamese family way.
It is proud to be the only one remaining in town to keep on producing 100% artisanal Vietnamese rice noodles. For you, they will showcase their culinary ancestral know-how for processing rice into several different delicious dishes such as: My Quang (Quang noodle), Hu Tieu (sea food soup), Bun (vermicelli soup), Banh Dap (grilled rice cake and steamed one united together), Cao Lau and Pho (noodle soup).
For this holiday package you will be staying at the Superior Rooms of the Ancient House Resort. Each room is nicely decorated in sober black and white settings and equipped with: air conditioning, large beds with mosquito net, in-room safe deposit box, satellite TV, IDD telephone, mini bar, private bathroom made of local marble with bathtub, and high speed WiFi.
Eighteen 32 square meter rooms are available, either with double or twin bed. A cozy atmosphere in sober black and white settings with a touch of Cham style decoration, a wide living space and storage room and bathroom too, and complimentary fruits and drinking water for the guests.
Complimentary welcome drink with cold towel upon arrival. Once you have settled in, you will be met at the lobby. You have two choices. You can either be taken to Hoi An's colourful and bustling market where you will experience amazing sights, sounds, and aromas, and purchase some of the vegetables and herbs to be used in the cooking class.
Or you can have a bicycle ride through a beautiful countryside will take you to the Tra Que vegetable village and discover the real life of local farmers: rice paddies, buffalos, and Vietnamese farmers working on their farms. The village is named after the sweet scented herbs that are used in the everyday meals of Hoi An people, such as mint, coriander, and basil.
A tour within these gardens can include some time working in the field, or simply observing and learning. Once you have returned to the resort, after a refreshing drink in the garden, our chef will introduce you to the Hoi An style of cooking. He will show you how to decorate a plate, and how to prepare some ingredients.
Then it will be your turn to chop, grate, crush, slice, roll, and cook the ingredients for a delicious meal which you are guaranteed to enjoy! You will receive a Cooking Certificate and be able to take some memorable photos. In addition, you will have daily complimentary flowers and a fruit basket in your room.
Hoi An Ancient House Resort & Spa is dedicated to offer its guests best authentic Vietnamese food, including Hoi An delicacies, as well as Western specials. It boasts 1 indoor restaurant with a balcony and 1 outdoor fresh seafood and meat specials charcoal BBQ restaurant amidst the garden by the swimming pool. The Dai chien restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, either buffet, set menu or a la carte at dinner.
On the other hand, the Ancient House Barbecue offers a mix of European and Vietnamese traditional dishes on charcoal grill, fresh seafood or meat specials. Some 15 kilometers offshore from Hoi An, Cham Island is surrounded by 7 small islands. It is also renowned for its salanganes (swallows), whose nests, which can be seen on a clear day on the hills of the islands, are a source of revenue to the local people. Located in Danang, the Cham Museum was built in 1915 and owns the most extensive collection of Cham art in the world nowadays. It was built in a Cham architectural style, originated from the period between the 5th and 15th centuries. In 10 galleries, named after the localities where they were discovered, displays some 300 interesting sculptural statues and bas-reliefs collected from the different sites of the ancient Champa Kingdom.
A cluster of 5 marble hills whose legend states that they were created from the egg shells left by a dragon. The area is now famous for stone sculpture making and stone-cutting crafts. You can climb the Mountain of Water and visit the Tam Thai Pagoda. This hill has a walking path, with hundreds of steep natural stone steps, which leads to many caves and pagodas dating from the early 17th century; theres an elevator too!
Located in a valley surrounded by mountain ranges, My Son is some 45 kilometers far from Hoi An. This World Cultural UNESCO Heritage site is the grandiose vestige of the Champa Kingdom, built from the 4th to the 14th century. It was once a group of more than 70 temple towers with various styles of architecture and sculpture. On the way back to Hoi An, enjoy a boat trip on the River Hoai to discover beautiful scenery and visit some islands such as Kim Bong Carpentry Village and Thanh Ha Pottery Village.
