Vietnam has a long tradition of massage that takes its roots out of local religious beliefs and ancient traditional medicine. The Vietnamese believe that health is in harmony with the body, mind and spirit. The concept of balance as expressed through Yin and Yang is mixed with traditional techniques such as mud bath or facials.

We strive in providing an impeccable combination of traditional Vietnamese herbal remedies and all the present natural and locally made beauty products, to bring you a pleasant experience of peacefulness and happiness. Beside the traditional Vietnamese massage, a local technique mixing traditional Vietnamese massage with external influences is available.

Inherited from when Hoi An was one of the major trading sea ports of the region, that welcomed merchants from the whole Asia and European countries too. In addition, Ancient House Resort provides a hair-dresser salon for men and women, and ladies will enjoy a Beauty Center offering a wide range of skin treatments and the famous Vietnamese nail care and painting too.

The thermal facial massage offers a boost of nature: vitamins and minerals incorporating a warm infusing mask to maximize penetration into the deeper layers of the skin. This facial indulgence is firming and lifting, leaving your skin nourished, hydrated, and toned. The tropical facial massage uses cooling mists and aromatic gels to nurture and soothe the skin.

Body care

The traditional Vietnamese massage mixes cupping glasses and pressure point techniques with invigorating movements to warm and relax tissues and improve blood circulation. The Thai body massage heals you not only physically but emotionally and spiritually too.

The technique uses pressure along the meridians together with gentle stretches of muscles to increase vitality of body, flexibility and range of motion. The feet & back massage is a perfect treatment after a long journey, using Vietnamese style pressure point foot massage to soothe your tired feet, and concentrating on your back to remove the stress and tension.

The scalp massage uses aromatherapy oils for your hair and scalp for stress-relieving massages, easing headaches and inducing total relaxation. Foot reflexology applies pressure to reflex points on the soles of your feet: tension is relieved throughout your whole body.

Deluxe manicure indulges your hands in depth: your nails and cuticles will be shaped and hydrated, your hands and arms treated with a nourishing cream to improve the texture of your skin. Nail varnish, a Vietnamese specialty, is applied on request.

"We stayed 3 nights here and very satisfied. The room was clean and the pool was nice. All we wanted was some quiet and relaxing time with some tanning and swimming. It was perfect to stay here! It was a bit far from the city center but manageable because they provided a free shuttle every two hours. We definitely recommend it! "

"Calm and charming resort, from entrance to lovely garden and swimming pool, room is big enough, clean and tidy, however some wooden furniture need a bit maintenance. Breakfast is good. A very good place to escape from bustle and wonderful for relaxing. They have shuttle bus to the beach (besides Cua Dai beach), and to old town."

"We enjoyed staying in a villa with our adult daughter. We had a ground floor villa and it was modern and spacious. However it did smell a little dang, probably due to the humidity all over Vietnam. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The restaurant food was good but a little expensive, especially the service charges they add to all the prices. They have a convenient bus service to Hoi An that we used regularly. We used the hotel to arrange a spur of the moment driver to take us to My Son and Marble Mountain. Though we liked Hoi An, we found it so crowded and touristy. We found one day was enough. We were very pleased with the drivers the hotel provided, his command of English and his commitment to make sure that we had an enjoyable day."

"This hotel has it all - great location on the bank of the river, quiet and peaceful, great swimming pool and large rooms. It is easy to get to town or the beach using the free bikes or the free shuttle. The breakfast was great - the only complaint from the whole stay was that sometimes it was a little cold. The staff were great, very friendly. Cuong was our host and was very helpful! We did a cooking class and he took us over to a wee village and the local markets, then chef Chau expertly taught us how to make some delicious local dishes. Was a real highlight!"
