"If you only have time for one tour in Bologna this is the one to choose. We were collected from our apartment in a modern minibus and met by our guide Massismo. We were on an English speaking tour and Massimo was fluent in speaking and understanding English. He was very knowledgeable about Bologna and we learnt much about the history of the area. We visited a Parmigano factory, a Modena ham factory, a Traditional Balsamic vinegar farm, the Ferrari Museum and finally a lunch in a good restaurant. All the food attractions were generous with their samples and wine and there was plenty of time to purchase the produce. The Ferrari Museum was fun for all ages. We were collected at about 8 am and arrived back at the apartment around 5.30 pm. We went on a Sunday and the restaurant was busy with Italian families which is a good sign of the quality and gave a good atmosphere. The food was very good and lots of it with a starter, 3 pasta courses, beef (cooked medium rare) with char-grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes and 2 desserts. Espresso, wine, and water were freely available. A memorable day."

"We traveled to Italy with another couple and spent 5 days in Bologna. During that time, we enjoyed 4 fantastic tours with Amazing Italy. The first was a half-day tour of Bologna with the very intelligent and knowledgeable Catia. The next day we toured the Bologna food market and had a cooking class with Rita - in her own home! Besides being a great cook and teacher, Rita is one of the most gracious and delightful people I've ever met. On the third day, we had the pleasure of going on the visit to boutique producers of parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto with company owner Olga. We learned a lot at each producer and had a wonderful day with the highly organized Olga. The fourth tour was to two wineries and the charming town of Dozza with Nathalie (and again excellent driver Cesare). Like all of the Amazing Italy guides, Nathalie was gracious, bright, flexible, knowledgeable and fluent in English. We could not have asked for more professional guides! Besides organizing fantastic daily tours in and around Bologna, Amazing Italy is a full-service travel company. Olga did an "amazing" job planning our entire bespoke visit and finding outstanding guides wherever we went."

"This tour beated by far all our expectations. Everything was perfect with Olga (co-owner) taking care of all organisational and logistic details before the trip and Andrea (husband) being a perfect host and guide throughout the day (we enjoyed great farm visits and top 6 courses lunch). Moreover, as they are greatly on local tours but have an extensive experience."

    • "A food tour of Bologna is a lovely way to explore - the smells and taste definitely ensure the memories stay with you. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was the only person on the tour and it was a fun way to learn more about the history of Bologna. A great (and filling!) morning. Thank you so much!"

"We had a great time on our food and Ferrari tour. Our tour guide, Olga, who co-owns the company with her husband, was very accommodating about scheduling and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and how each of the different foods is made. Olga took us to family run establishments that we could not have gone to on our own. This tour was one of our favorite experiences in Emilia-Romagna."

"This tour was thoroughly enjoyable. First of all, it included 7 people and the vehicle was very comfortable and convenient. The selection of places to stop was perfect for the parmigiana region, prosciutto, balsamic vinegar, and Ferrari, followed by a truly gourmet lunch at a beautiful ristorante! Olga was simply spectacular as a hostess. She was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, went out of her way to accommodate everyone, and was sincerely passionate about sharing the highlights of her home region."

"Professional, experienced, educated, entertaining, flexible, and beyond expectations, all describe our day with Olga. We visited Emilia-Romagna to enjoy an in-depth experience with prosciutto production and tasting, Parmigiano-Reggiano production and tasting, balsamic vinegar production and tasting, as well as a lovely yet condensed tour of Bologna. Olga was perfect! I highly recommend."

"This tour was the highlight of my entire two weeks in Italy. We saw so much and we learned so much about the food and history in this region of Italy. I was completely wowed by the processes used to create the most wonderful and best tasting food products. I was, so very grateful to be able to bring some of it home with me. Our guide, Olga was just a delight in her explanations of how each of the items goes from the raw state to the end product. Our driver was also very helpful and humorous throughout the day. Was really one of the best days I have spent on a trip."

"We booked this tour out of Bologna. The guide Olga was terrific explaining the history of the food products in the Bologna region, while including interesting local lore that goes with these products. We saw parmesan cheese, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar being made. Generous samples were provided after each visit. In Maranello it was great getting close those famous Ferraris. Then, they topped the tour off at a wonderful restaurant of 6 or 7 course meal with prepared dishes using all those products, plus other wine and food specialties. Its truly amazing!"

"With only one day available in Bologna with my 5 friends we were unsure how to spend our time in the best way to have the best memory of Bologna. Luckily we decided to choose this new really amazing all in one day tour. We would never imagine could have been possible to cover so much and so well. We visited a prosciutto factory, a family run business with tastings available, then a parmesan cheese factory. We had the opportunity to speak with the producers and taste it all, and we also saw how balsamic vinegar known as the black gold of Modena is produced. We also visited the Ferrari museum and, as Mike was dreaming, we had the time to drive a Ferrari 458 speciale. We celebrated the end of this amazing day with a fantastic lunch. So thank you, Amazing Italy! We strongly recommend this one!!"

"What a day! We were picked from the hotel and travelled on a luxury Mercedes limousine style minibus with Wi-Fi on board. The tour guide, Andrea, was simply fantastic. He is so energetic and loves his job and his country that he transmitted these emotions to the people on the tour. Nonetheless he makes you feel like VIP and welcome. I appreciated that he tried to go that extra bit on each occasion to make our tour unforgettable."

"I visited Bologna in mid-February with my family. We booked the Bologna gourmet walk with Olga. She picked us at our hotel and gave us an orientation tour of Bologna including visits to traditional food shops and had delicious tastings from chocolate to prosciutto, salami, parmesan, homemade tortellini and tagliatelle pasta, wine and even gelato!I suggest you all to have a light breakfast before this tour: you wont get hungry. Olga speaks fluent English and she was incredibly welcoming, very sensitive to our familys needs and interests, and was full of great stories and fascinating information. This is the perfect tour if you dont have too much time in Bologna. I highly recommend this tour! "
