You will be accommodated at Relais Alberti, a sixteenth century noble villa of unparalleled beauty and luxury, in a beautiful and comfortable double room, with en-suite bathroom and luxurious tapestries, furniture, and paintings. The classic rooms, located on the ground floor, overlook the citrus court and have a stunning view over the garden.

The rooms are ideal for family stays and for Alberti's four-legged friends. All rooms are equipped with every comfort: room service, TV, air conditioning, bathrobe, pillow menu, telephone, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, safe deposit box.

Program

During your stay, you will have four cooking classes of about three to four hours each, depending on the difficulty and cooking levels of the participants. Each cooking class includes the associated meal (lunch and dinner). You will also have the chance to explore the village of Malamocco, the most quiet and relaxing area and one of the oldest settlements in Venice (dating back to the 4th century); and then you will easily reach the Lido city center and Venice historical center to visit the most beautiful city in the world.

Malamocco is one of the oldest settlements in the Venice Lagoon. Its history goes back to the times of the ancient Romans. The Borgo is a place full of mysteries and legends; the old sea men of the lagoon narrate how the ancient Metamauco village once stood facing the sea and after was swept away by a violent seaquake. The inhabitants say that in the days of calm sea, it is still possible to see the ruins of the ancient city.

Today Malamocco, or Novo Metamauco, is a stunning ancient village in the intimacy of the Venetian lagoon where time seems to be suspended in a dream state of calmness. Despite its proximity to the city center of Venice, there is an air of quietness and serenity, privacy and self-dialogue.

Like a hug coming from the sea, Relais Alberti is located right in the heart of the Borgo, ready to welcome its guests as Le Locandiere used to do with the veterans returning from a faraway sea or land journey.

You will be offered daily breakfast included in the price. The lunches and dinners associated with the three cooking classes are also included. A welcome dinner will be provided on arrival day. All the food is organic, locally sourced, seasonal, fresh, coming straight from the producer to the kitchen and table.

Relais Alberti is fortunate to have a wonderful organic vegetable garden from which they daily pick the ingredients to prepare the breakfasts. Savored under the Alberti barchessa or in the fireplace room, breakfast is a treat of genuine and simple emotions. Fresh homemade products of only very high and genuine quality will be provided.

Tours to discover the most important monuments and museums in Venice for those visiting for the first time, but also unusual tours with alternative routes for those who already know the city are available.

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) you can take public transportation for about 20 EUR. You can also hire a water-taxi for 160 EUR.

Arrival by ferry / boat

From the Tronchetto area ferry-boats are leaving every 50 minutes. Rates and timetables are available online. It is possible to book the ferry-boat up to three hours prior to departure.

From Santa Lucia railway station there's motorboat line 5.1 direction Lido. From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) Alilaguna motorboat is departing every 30 minutes. The cost is 15 EUR per person. Schedules are available online.

From A. Canova Treviso Airport (TSF) the ATVO bus is leaving every hour with arrival at Piazzale Roma. From there motorboat line 5.1 or line 6 direction Lido is available.

Arrival by taxi

A free pick up service by car (upon request 48 hours in advance and according to availability) from Lido center (boat stations) is available.
