You will be staying in a twin or double room in a boutique accommodation and four hotels.

Prices for high season - April 15 - October 31:

Day 1

Meet at airport and transfer to Tirana where you will take a driven tour of the capital’s major attractions including the colorful buildings. You will also visit the National Historic Museum in Tirana offering an in-depth introduction to Albanian history from prehistory to present day. Welcome dinner is a traditional affair at one of the restaurants in town, with a rustic setting. Overnight in Tirana.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will drive to Shkodra, the most important city in North Albania. You will continue to Shkodra Lake and you will have carp baked in the oven Shkodra style for lunch. Afterward, you will continue to Shkodra a town. For dinner, you will dine in one of the best traditional Albanian restaurants.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will depart to Kruja and visit some interesting sites such as the castle that has Scanderbeg and ethnographic museums. After that, you will have a traditional Albanian lunch with several specialties of the area, at a restaurant in the castle, including lamb and potatoes baked in an earth ware pot, raisin rice and meat dessert, a unique desert of this region. Afterward, you will continue to Durres for special dinner and for overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will head to Berat, a UNESCO town for its wonderful architecture where houses look as they were built on each other’s backs. Just before arriving, you will stop at Cobo winery to taste one of the best Albanian wines with some finger food specialties. You will visit the inhabited castle where many families still live within its walls, several small churches from the 15th century and the uniquely beautiful Saint Mary’s church turned into Onufri museum. Lunch will be in a traditional restaurant in Berat castle run by a family living in the castle. Traditional dinner with Berat specialties’ at Mangalemi and overnight will be at a traditional house in the old quarter turned small hotel.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will depart for Vlora. On the way, you will stop at the Monastery of Ardenica. Inside the church, you can admire icon paintings by Albanian artists such as Konstandin and Athanos Zografi, as well as Konstandin Shpataraku. Afterward, you will proceed to the ancient city of Apollonia situated on the famous Via Egnatia, one of the most important cities in Roman times. A tasty lunch of the Muzeqe region with small hens baked in the oven with rice will be served in the traditional village restaurant. Dinner will be a fresh seafood specialty in a local restaurant.

Day 6

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Saranda. Drive on the spectacular Albanian Riviera looking down at the Ionian Sea. You will stop in a panoramic restaurant at Llogara pass to sample the delicious sheep’s yogurt as a local delicacy. You will continue to Saranda where you will have a wonderful seafood lunch with fish carpaccio and fresh grilled fish. Next, you will visit the ancient city of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After the day tour, you will return to Saranda and check in to relax at the hotel. Dinner will be on the patio of a local restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious fish dinner. Day 7

After breakfast, you will drive to Gjirokastra, a museum town. On the way, there will be a quick visit to the interesting Blue Eye natural spring. You will then continue to Gjirokastra, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stone architecture and also as one of the most acclaimed culinary towns of south Albania. There, you will visit the castle which is used as the venue for the National Festival of Folk Song and Dance and has an arms museum with weapons from WWI. Next, you will visit the Ethnographic Museum which is also the house the Albanian dictator was born in and the Zekati family house, probably the most beautiful and famous house in Gjirokastra. Lunch will be at one of the town’s traditional restaurants with specialties such as pasha qofte soup, kukurec, and umeshtor etc. After lunch, you will proceed to Permet through the spectacular gorge of Kelcyra on the banks of Vjosa river. Overnight in Permet.

Day 8

After breakfast, you will drive to Korca, one of the most important towns of South East Albania and a well-known culinary town. The path will take you through spectacular landscapes with spectacular nature, gorges, mountains, and river valleys offering a truly fulfilling experience. Lunch will be in a traditional family restaurant in Boboshtica just before reaching Korca. After lunch, you will visit the Museum of Medieval Arts and the Mosque of Mirahori, one of the oldest in the country. Dinner will be in a uniquely constructed restaurant. Overnight in Korca.

Day 9

After breakfast ,drive to Pogradec on the shores of Lake Ohrid. Lunch will be in a family restaurant to enjoy unique Koran fish a rare fish of the trout and salmon family, found only in this lake. You will also visit Drilon, where the old fishing villa of Albania's dictator is situated. Then, you will depart for Elbasan where you will visit a and stop for refreshments. In Tirana, you will have a farewell fine gourmet dinner at one of the best restaurants. Overnight in Tirana.

Day 10

End of the tour.
