  • Review by Fredrino from Alba Adriatica, Italy

"This is the best agriturismo me and my family (wife and children 13, 11, and 7) have visited. It has it all; nice apartments, fantastic food and service that is top class. By top class, I mean elegant and delivered with feeling and timing. Not "too much" and always genuinely caring and being there for you when asked for. I cannot explain the magic, it's just there and it fills my heart with a warm feeling. If you want to relax and enjoy the Italian countryside, this is the place. The food is totally fantastic."

  • Review by a traveler from Galway, Ireland

"We arrived 1 hour late on a winter Monday evening and found out that we were the only guests, while the owners were waiting for us around a wonderful fire place. This couldn't start any better. We requested dinner when booking, so we were offered a broad selection of Italian starter, first and second courses to choose from. We picked mixed cold starters, homemade ravioli (fresh pasta like tortellini, but with vegetarian filling), and mixed charcoal grilled meat. Everything was just great (I am an Italian and it tasted just like how my grandmother would have done it). We then moved to the 3-bedroom that was extremely comfortable, with bathroom and shower, real extra bed, AC, and a huge balcony overlooking the quiet garden. The day after we woke up late, we informed the owners about it and they sent us breakfast to the room (homemade cake and marmalade, which was yummy). We visited the lovely surroundings the next few days, and every time it was amazing to come back to a place, where everybody remembered our names."

  • Review by Kate from Llanelli, Wales, United Kingdom

"We stayed here for 7 days and we really enjoyed our stay. If you want to have a busy and the high life, then we suggest you not to book this hotel. If you want to be in total peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. It is a family run hotel and they all make you feel part of their family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. When we booked, we had breakfast included and then, we paid extra for our lunch and evening meal, which I would highly recommend, as everything is off their land and is cooked with real love!"

"The food is amazing and so reasonable. The wine is also their own and we found it very easy to drink (a bit too easy). They give the first bottle complimentary. The evening meals were also wonderful usually with served with 3-course meal plus wine, and also fruits! We have never had such wonderful food during our holiday!"

"We have never felt so chill on a holiday either, as it wasn't crowded. There is a pool and wonderful views, which just makes you feel like your in heaven. We enjoyed so much that we are returning next year. It is definitely not a place to miss out on, and is truly a relaxing food-filled and wine-filled holiday, which we have never felt so chilled, after returning from a holiday. If you want peace and quiet with wonderful food and wine, at the same time, get totally spoilt, then book this place. You would not be disappointed!"

  • Review by a traveler from Melbourne, Australia

"I stayed at Fontefredda as a single female traveller and could not have asked for anything better than this Agriturismo. The setting was perfect in the Molise hills. If you like long walks in the countryside, then this is just the spot. Waking up to the stunning views was a delight. The food and wine were sublime. If you are looking for a place where you can eat, drink and relax, then look no further than Fontefredda. There is a lot to see and do in the area, so staying at Fontefredda was a good base for day trips."

"Even if you want to stay in for the day, then you have an amazing pool to sit by and read a book. You can also take yourself for a lovely pre-dinner walk listening to the sounds of the country. The rooms were extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was made up with beautiful linen. I will never forget the hospitality that I experienced at Fontefredda and I cannot wait to return next year."

  • Review by Fabien from Amsterdam, The Netherlands

"How hard was it to leave this Fontefredda with its swimming pool hidden in a little valley surrounded with lovely hills. It is such a beautiful place! First of all, we missed the warm welcome of the whole family, but also missed the nicest service of the young waitresses and the comfort of its modern rooms, where Wi-Fi was operating well everywhere. Regarding the food, it was great satisfaction with quality and variety. Everyday, they would check what plans we made, and adjusted according for us to enjoy every meal. I also cannot get enough of their homemade red wine, which is a wonder of nature."

"We also made enchanting walks around the area, among the Mediterranean fields and olive trees with the Adriatic sea or hanging villages in background, the kind of places Van Gogh would have liked to paint. When you are there, do not miss out the view over Montenero just 800 meters above."

"They also offered us a tour of the property in a farm tractor to show their animal production. There is a nice free beach of Petacciato, which is reachable within 20 minutes by car. Termoli is also worth a visit too. It was a great pleasure to have them as our hosts and we look forward to returning!"

  • Review by a traveler from Algiers

"Molise region has some superb countryside scenery, so different from the north of Italy. Valeria and her dad, Claudio, were such friendly host. They are obviously proud of their 3rd generation farm and eager to share it with others. The farm produces organic olive oil, proscuitto, wheat, etc. Don't miss out on an amazing Italian experience."

  • Review by Gerda Julienne from Antwerpen, Belgium

"We spent a fortnight in this beautiful place. We rented a nice apartment, which was well furnished and very clean, with ample space to sit outside too. We found the hosts very welcoming, most helpful, and good guides for the region. The pool is very well kept. The whole structure offers wonderful vibes of the surrounding hillsides. We had some outstanding meals in the cool restaurant, which gave us a good idea of the local, wholesome cooking."
