Cairnbaan is a small Highland village on the banks of the Crinan Canal. It is located on the west coast of Scotland about 80 miles from Glasgow. Located in Cairnbaan is the Cairnbaan Hotel, which has a cozy pub, and restaurant, it is open all year.

Cairnbaan is the midway point of the Crinan Canal (most beautiful short cut in Britain). The canal which is 9 miles long is now a historic monument and is still used by pleasure yachts taking this short cut to avoid going round the Mull of Kintyre.

The complete length of Crinan Canal is now covered by a cycle track / walking path. Nearby (3 miles) is the town of Lochgilphead which has a variety of shops, large and small. Lochgilphead is served by bus from Glasgow six times per day. The larger town of Oban is 35 miles north of Cairnbaan and is well worth a visit, Oban is also served by train from Glasgow six times per day.

This package includes seven breakfasts, seven lunches (box and picnic-style), and six dinners. Breakfasts for six mornings will be in the format of providing you with a basket containing a wide range of Scottish products for you to prepare a self-catered breakfast at your cottage.
