In the city of Nikko, Active Holiday Company recommends you hike at Yumoto, visit the Toshu-gu Shrine, soak in the natural hot springs, or if the weather permits, go skiing; visit the national park, relax by Chuzenji Lake, go see the Kegon waterfall, or get the Akechi Daira rope way cable car over the falls and lake.
In the city of Kyoto, Active Holiday Company recommends you visit Gion, the famous Geisha district, take a gentle stroll through the Path of Philosophy or go to Kyotos well-preserved old town to Kiyamizu-dera; you can also visit the Kinkakuji temple, the architecturally impressive Higashi Honganji, the surreal temple of Sanjusangendo and see Japans largest pagoda at Toji.
